This pattern, FIELD, is designed by Maxim Cyr. I used two different brands of yarn to knit this piece. The left side is La Bien Aimée Merino Aran in “Bleu Royal” and the right is Spincycle Yarns Dream State in the color “Valley Girl”. The piece uses 1,071 yards of yarn and is heavier than Twilight Field due to the worsted weight yarn which provides exceptional warmth and drape.

Dustland Shawl is a pattern designed by Stephen West. The pattern highlights repeating sections of broken ribbing, moss and garter stitch, and diagonal ribbing which provides the perfect texture to allow the chosen yarn to shine. The yarn is Corrie Confetti in Greybow by La Bien Aimée, custom spun in Paris using a blend of Falkland Corriedale, natural recycled fibers and threads generated by the La Bien Aimée mill and atelier. The fibers and threads create tweed-style neps that are cheery.
Inclinations by Andrea Mowry is all about texture! I wanted an oversized shawl with lots of delightfully squishy and colorful yarn so the entire piece is knit out of Spincycle Yarns’ Dream State. I carried the color “Midsommar” throughout to add some lightness and brightness, then contrasted with “Rosy Maple,” “Absolute Zero,” “Overshadow,” and “Neveruary.”
Fantastitch is another pattern designed by Stephen West. Patterns like this are my absolute favorite to knit. Lots of texture, lots of techniques, and the patterns are long enough to enjoy…but switch just before they start to get tedious. I used Cottage Fingering from On The Round in seven different shades to create this bright, light and delightfully soft piece. The yarn is spun from Merino wool and is non-superwash which means it has not been treated with nylon. The spin of the yarn is round and bouncy and surprisingly squishy for a fingering weight yarn. The final result is warm and soft and a joy to wear. Expect *a lot* of compliments!
